imagen
Michael Sobczak is a senior application developer for Comerica Bank, a financial services company in Detroit, Michigan. Michael has been developing Notes/Domino applications since 1995, and is the president of the Detroit Notes Professionals, a Notes User Group in Southfield, Michigan.

Chris Herborth is an award-winning senior technical writer with more than 10 years of experience writing about operating systems and programming. When he’s not playing with his son Alex or hanging out with his wife Lynette, Chris spends his spare time designing, writing, and researching (that is, playing) video games.

imagen!
Jen deHaan was raised by wolves in the deep woods of the Canadian north. Canada’s chief exports include motor vehicles (or their parts), lumber, newsprint, nonmetal materials, and wheat. One overcast day in 2004, Jen left her life as a Flash deseloper (designer/developer) in Canada to write Flash documentation and sometimes create Flash samples at Macromedia in San Francisco. Aside from her ongoing work at Adobe, Jen runs several community sites and forums for fun, and maintains a blog at weblogs.macromedia.com/dehaan. She believes that _root tends to be evil and misses Tim Horton’s coffee.

Lanzamiento de MAZES OF FATE

20 09 2006

EXPLORE MAZES OF FATE™ ON THE GAME BOY ADVANCE™

First-Ever Latin American GBA Game Provides Hours of First-Person Role-Playing Entertainment

SUNNYVALE, CA–Sep 19, 2006 — Signature Devices, Inc. (www.signaturedevices.com )(Other OTC: SDVI.PK – News) wholly owned video game development and publishing subsidiary Graffiti Entertainment, LLC (www.GraffitiEntertainment.com) has released for manufacturing “Mazes of Fate,” a Role Playing Game (RPG) for the Game Boy® Advance hand-held video game system. It expects to have it on retailers’ shelves around October 15, 2006 with an MSRP of $29.99.

“Graffiti Entertainment is pleased to be the first to bring the work of a fine young developer like Sabarasa to the North American market,” said Kenneth Hurley, CEO of both Signature Devices and Graffiti Entertainment. “Mazes of Fate is an amazing piece of work, and it’s something that both serious RPG fans and more casual players will enjoy.”

Sabarasa, an Argentine developer, is the first Latin American company to produce a game for a Nintendo console. To develop Mazes of Fate, Sabarasa has examined several classic RPGs, trying to distill the essence of what made those games so playable and popular. Using them for inspiration, they have crafted an epic RPG that should appeal to new fans and hardcore gamers alike.

Dimitri Criona, Graffiti Entertainment’s Director of Sales, says, “One of the most exciting and stable genres for video games is the Role Playing Games category. ‘Mazes of Fate’ for Game Boy Advance provides players a ‘traditional’ RPG through fifty different levels. There is no question that this game will provide even the most avid gamers with many hours of high-quality entertainment.”

Mazes, which has been in development since March of 2003, is set in a dark fantasy world that is facing divine punishment. The ancient gods, disgusted by humanity’s pride, intend to wipe mankind out and replace it with a new, more submissive race of goatmen. One party of adventurers is left to make the ultimate choice. Should they fight back against overwhelming odds, or sentence humanity to a fate that may be worse than death?

Mazes of Fate spans the length and breadth of a huge, dynamic world, and tells an epic story of magic and conspiracy, with more than a hundred characters you can interact with, an hour of original music featuring thirty-five different themes, and twenty-five hours of gameplay.

You will explore dungeons, solve intricate puzzles, and go on multiple quests with a party of up to three adventurers. You can select your protagonist from one of three pre-made characters, or create your own, then seek out and recruit six unlockable allies for your crew. The adventurers can be customized as you see fit, using nineteen skills, forty magical spells from three different schools of magic, and more than three hundred items and equipment to find and use.

You will need all the advantages you can get to overcome hundreds of monsters, unravel the secrets of the gods’ plot, and battle your way to the point where you must make the Final Decision that will determine the fate of the world.

Mazes of Fate will ship in five languages – English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian, which you can switch between during gameplay using the in-game Options menu – when it is released this winter.

Mazes of Fate is rated T (Teen) by the ESRB, with the following descriptors: blood, the use of alcohol, and mild fantasy violence.

Plugins UML para Eclipse

18 09 2006

Enterprise Architect
Poseidon
Visual Paradigm for UML

Visual paradigm for UML

Saludos!!

Windows Vista no funciona en VMWare

18 09 2006
